Are your Doll Joints Hard to Use?
No. We have had doll joints made specifically for us in Japan, which is world renounced for their precision and tolerances in mold making. Our doll joints are easy to snap together without tools or heat and come in a variety of sizes at an affordable price.
Are Doll Joints Safe?
Typically they do not come apart after assembly. However, if you have to use heat to assemble the doll joint, this can weaken the plastic or even warp it. This could lead to failure in the doll joint. When used as intended, any failure that could result would be in the fabric of your project. Cheap jersey fabrics, stretching, fraying, etc could potentially lead to your project coming apart. Make sure you use quality fabrics and stabilize them well with extra stitching when using a doll joint.
What Size Doll Joints Do I Need?
Please refer to the tutorial or designer of your doll pattern to determine what supplies you need for your project. If you are making a Planet Applique machine embroidery design, there is a chart here for you to refer to.
How is Doll Jersey different from normal Jersey fabrics?
Doll jersey is specifically designed for doll making. It is of higher quality than store bought jersey fabrics. A good doll jersey is heavy weight, double knit with some stretch against the grain, and pill-resistant.
Why Is There No Selvage Edges On The Doll Jersey I Ordered?
Our premium doll jersey is knit "in the round" on very old historic knitting machines. This means your doll jersey arrives as a tube or sleeve. It is more narrow that fabrics you purchase at your local hobby store.
What Are The Dimensions Of The Doll Jersey?
Our doll jersey is approximately 39" (100cm) in length x 16" (40.64cm) in width. But remember that our fabric comes to you as a "sleeve". If you cut the tube open, it would be 32" (81cm) wide.
What Certifications Does Your Doll Jersey Have?
Our doll jersey is manufactured in Europe and is Okotex certified, 100 % cotton yarn and is dyed according to European directive EN71. Certificate from the manufacture is located here.
